BERD vede economia României pe minus în 2026: „Riscurile de evoluție negativă persistă”. Când ar putea începe revenirea
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has maintained its forecasts for Romania's economy, predicting a decline of 0.2% in 2026 followed by a growth of 1.8% in 2027. The economy contracted by 0.8% in the first half of 2026, influenced by a significant drop in industrial production and services. Despite a decrease in the current account deficit, Romania's inflation remains the highest in the EU. The EBRD believes the budget deficit target of 6.2% of GDP is achievable, as it has decreased significantly in early 2026. A gradual recovery is expected in the second half of 2026, driven by household demand and EU-funded investments, although risks related to fiscal policies and energy prices persist.
