On Friday, gasoline prices in Romania reached a historic high, with some stations selling it for 9.7 lei per liter. Diesel prices also increased, exceeding 10 lei across major networks. The lowest gasoline price was reported at Socar, ranging from 9.51 to 9.54 lei, while Lukoil and Rompetrol offered prices of 9.57 and 9.59 lei, respectively. Diesel prices varied, with Petrom offering the cheapest at 10.10 lei and Lukoil the highest at 10.23 lei. The lowest gasoline price in Zalău was 9.48 lei, and the cheapest diesel was found in Gherla at 9.96 lei. This price surge follows a recent reduction in diesel excise taxes by authorities.
