Fuel prices in Romania have reached historic highs, with gasoline costing up to 9.70 lei per liter and diesel exceeding 10 lei. These increases are attributed to rising international oil prices. The latest adjustments have set a new record for gasoline at 9.64 lei in Petrom stations and 9.70 lei in OMV and MOL stations. MOL also raised its prices recently, aligning with OMV's rates. The previous record was noted at the end of May, when gasoline was priced at 9.62 lei in Petrom stations.
