Bechtel, singură în cursa pentru Porțile de Fier 3: megaproiectul de 2,6 miliarde de euro care poate afecta hidrocentralele României

Bechtel, in partnership with ENKA, is the only qualified candidate for Serbia's Djerdap 3 hydropower project, estimated at €2.6 billion. This project could significantly impact Romania's existing hydropower plants. The Serbian government has evaluated six bids, with only Bechtel's consortium meeting all requirements to proceed. The project aims to create one of Europe's largest energy storage facilities, utilizing a pumped-storage system. Romania is concerned about the potential effects on its hydropower production and river conditions. A memorandum was signed between Romania and Serbia to facilitate information exchange regarding the project.
