„Beauty lifting” pentru principi. Portretele unui conducător necunoscut și ale altor 10 principi, restaurate la Sibiu
Eleven portraits of Transylvanian princes are being restored by specialists from the Brukenthal National Museum. This project aims to display the artworks in the future Gallery of Transylvanian Princes in Alba Iulia. The restoration initiative is funded by the Cultural Center of the Palace of Princes, with over 50 years of experience in restoration. The process is described as a meticulous 'micro-surgery of heritage', focusing on preserving historical fragments. The portraits depict significant figures from Transylvanian history, including Stephen Báthory and George Rákóczi II, and one portrait remains unidentified. The goal is to conserve these works for future exhibition at the Palace of Princes, linked to the region's leadership history.
