Băuturile cu zahăr cresc riscul de cancer gastric. Avertismentul unui studiu derulat pe 30 de ani

A recent study involving 112,000 participants in the U.S. indicates that daily consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages significantly increases the risk of gastric cancer. Those consuming at least one sugary drink daily had a 2.45 times higher risk compared to non-consumers. The research, published in Gastro Hep Advances, highlights the need for further studies to understand the biological mechanisms behind this association. While the link to gastric cancer is new, previous studies have already connected sugary drinks to various health issues, including obesity and other cancers. No similar association was found with artificially sweetened beverages.
