ANRE has proposed a public consultation on an ordinance exempting energy storage installations from financial guarantees, aiming to encourage battery installation in energy parks. This measure is intended to enhance the integration of storage systems with production capacities, improving grid flexibility and security. Investors in hybrid projects will only need to provide guarantees for generation capacity, not for storage. The financial guarantee of up to €30,000/MW, introduced earlier this year, will not be required in certain cases, including projects with CfD contracts and specific technological upgrades. The aim is to reduce costs for legitimate investors while ensuring project viability.
