Bateriile au înlocuit joi seară aportul energetic al unui reactor nuclear

On Thursday evening, battery storage systems contributed nearly 700 MW to the energy grid, compensating for the shutdown of Unit 2 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. This contribution was significant, especially as the overall energy consumption was slightly lower than the previous day. The energy mix included hydropower, gas, and coal, with batteries providing 13% of the total production. Despite the challenges, the situation was manageable due to reduced energy demand and some wind energy contributions. Imports from Bulgaria also played a crucial role in maintaining energy supply during peak hours.
