Romania's energy storage capacity is expected to reach at least 4 GW by the end of next year, according to Liviu Gavrilă from RWEA. He emphasized the need for storage solutions tailored to Romania's specific energy mix and economic outlook. Currently, Romania is projected to achieve 2 GW of storage capacity by the end of this year. Gavrilă compared Romania's future capacity to Bulgaria's existing range of 6 to 8 GW. He believes that reaching this storage capacity will help stabilize energy prices significantly.
