A 120 MWh energy storage system has been launched in Teiuș by Eurowind Energy Romania, with an investment of 21 million euros supported by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The system, which operates alongside a photovoltaic park, allows for the storage of surplus energy for later use. It has a power capacity of 60 MW and can theoretically supply energy for about two hours. The project is significant as it contributes to Romania's growing battery storage capacity, representing approximately 6% of the national total. Eurowind aims to expand its investments in Romania, targeting 1 GW of installed capacity by 2030.
