'Basarabia' Association demands recall of Romania's ambassador to Ukraine over Romanian-language education crisis

Anatol Popescu, president of the 'Basarabia' Association, has urged Romanian officials to recall ambassador Alexandru Victor Micula due to his handling of Romanian education rights in Ukraine. He criticized the lack of consultation with Romanian community leaders regarding a crucial education bill and called for its postponement. Popescu also requested the appointment of a more experienced diplomat and an urgent meeting between Romanian and Ukrainian foreign ministries to address the concerns of the Romanian minority.
