The incident was reported on Saturday morning when a bag containing the dog was found in the Sadu River. Police discovered the puppy, approximately 3-4 months old, and determined it had no owner. The dog was placed in a shelter and given to an animal protection association. Authorities have opened a criminal case for animal cruelty under the relevant law, and the investigation is ongoing under the supervision of a prosecutor.
