Bărbat de 45 de ani, reținut pentru camătă în Capitală: Cerea dobânzi uriașe unui afacerist care voia să-și extindă restaurantul

A 45-year-old man was arrested in Bucharest for allegedly lending money at exorbitant interest rates to a restaurant owner. The victim borrowed €36,000 but paid around €150,000 in interest alone. The suspect reportedly demanded an additional €160,000 and attempted to intimidate the victim by claiming to be part of organized crime. Police caught him in the act of collecting a payment of 18,500 lei, discovering more cash and a blunt object during a search. He faces charges of usury, which can lead to imprisonment of 6 months to 5 years.
