A man from Cugir has been placed in preventive detention for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl. The incident occurred on July 25, when the accused allegedly approached the girl while she was playing near a school, offering her money to get into his car. He reportedly engaged in deviant sexual behavior, including undressing her and touching her inappropriately despite her verbal objections. Following the investigation, the prosecutor initiated criminal proceedings against the 45-year-old man for sexual assault. The police detained him for 24 hours, and the court has ordered his preventive detention for 30 days.
