The Leșu Dam rehabilitation project, part of Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to enhance water infrastructure and environmental protection. The project, valued at 113.18 million lei, includes unique features like a fish passage and floating islands to support biodiversity. Completed in stages, the dam's water level is currently at 18% capacity, with ongoing monitoring to ensure safety. This investment directly benefits over 225,000 residents by reducing flood risks and improving water management.
