To qualify, beekeepers must register their hives and prove the sale of at least 6 kg of honey per family annually. The initiative follows years of neglect in the sector and aims to promote legal honey sales. Despite a good harvest, many beekeepers struggle with low wholesale prices, often selling below production costs. The timely financial aid is crucial for preparing hives for winter and covering essential expenses.
