The National Investment Program "Anghel Saligny" has exhausted its allocated funds for 2026, with only 12.2% of contracted projects completed by June. Minister Cseke Attila announced the suspension of transfer requests for project financing, which will resume only if the budget is increased. By June 30, 2026, 4,597 contracts worth 55.22 billion lei were signed, with 31.02 billion lei disbursed, reflecting a 56.2% reimbursement rate. The program aims to modernize infrastructure, with significant investments in road networks and sewage systems. However, completion rates vary widely among project types, with only 3.1% of gas network projects finished. Local authorities can continue work using their funds, while 55 localities have not submitted any projects for funding.
