Banii cash ținuți în casă de demnitari nu vor mai apărea în declarația de avere / Amendament adoptat în Senat

Romanian lawmakers have decided that public officials are not required to declare cash holdings in their wealth statements. This amendment was adopted by the Senate's Legal Committee, addressing concerns about practical complications in reporting cash amounts. The original law mandated the declaration of cash and digital assets exceeding €5,000. The committee highlighted issues such as the difficulty in determining ownership of cash held by family members and potential conflicts between spouses regarding financial transparency. The amendment will be voted on in the Senate plenary session.
