The Senate's legal committee has removed the requirement for public officials to declare cash held at home from their wealth declarations. This amendment, adopted before the final vote, addresses practical difficulties in verifying cash ownership in shared residences. While cash declarations are eliminated, the requirement to declare digital assets over €5,000 remains. The final form of the law will be determined by the Senate plenary session.
