Young people under 30 who are not working, studying, or in training can receive additional financial support upon first employment. The interim Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, announced the launch of the "STEP UP" project, which aims to assist NEET youth. Eligible individuals can receive a monthly stability allowance for two years, totaling up to 27,000 lei, provided they meet specific conditions. The project excludes certain counties to avoid double funding and has already seen 395 applications submitted. The initiative is part of a broader effort to support young people's entry into the workforce, despite ongoing legal challenges regarding its implementation.
