Bani pentru fermele de oi și capre afectate de restricțiile la export
Sheep and goat farmers may receive funding of up to €50,000 for investments aimed at preventing and combating diseases in farms. The Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments (AFIR) has published a draft guide for public consultation regarding intervention DR-21, which focuses on biosecurity improvements in sheep and goat farms. This measure addresses issues in the sector, including export restrictions on animals. Funding can be used for investments that help prevent the spread of diseases like peste des petits ruminants and sheep and goat pox. The initiative is part of the modified PAC Strategic Plan 2023–2027 and has already received approval from the European Commission. The support targets registered farmers with at least 150 animals, covering 90% of eligible project costs, with a total budget of €9 million for the upcoming session. Eligible expenses include equipment for decontamination and disinfection, as well as facilities for animal isolation and access control.
