Central European private equity investors remain optimistic despite economic challenges, with over a third expecting increased transaction activity. Romania saw a significant rise in private equity and venture capital investments, reaching €433.6 million in 2025, more than quadrupling from the previous year. The survey indicates that 70% of investors anticipate stable liquidity levels, while 74% do not foresee changes in economic conditions. Additionally, exit transactions reached a record €662.4 million. Although AI adoption is growing, only 18% of investors find it highly useful for identifying target companies.
