Banca Rusiei a vândut o cantitate record de 44 de tone de aur pentru a completa bugetul de război al lui Putin

For the sixth consecutive month, the Central Bank of Russia has been selling gold from its reserves to cover a federal budget deficit of nearly 6 trillion rubles. In June, the bank's gold reserves decreased by 9.33 tons, totaling a loss of 43.5 tons since the beginning of the year. This massive sale is the largest in at least 25 years, with the last similar event occurring in 2002. The Central Bank has reportedly earned around $5.6 billion from these sales, which have been used to balance the budget. The bank's gold is accessible and has appreciated significantly, making it suitable for such transactions, especially as many foreign assets are frozen due to sanctions. Most of the gold has likely been sold to Russian banks through various markets, with trading volumes increasing sharply this year.
