Banca Naţională a României lansează o bancnotă aniversară de colecție, dedicată lui Eugeniu Carada, întemeietorul instituției

The National Bank of Romania will issue a commemorative banknote on September 14, celebrating Eugeniu Carada's 190th birthday. The banknote, valued at 100 lei, will be sold for 240 lei and features a polymer design. It includes Carada's portrait and elements from the BNR's historical architecture. A special sheet of four banknotes will also be available for 840 lei. The total print run is 16,000 banknotes and 1,000 special sheets, with sales starting on September 15, 2026, at various regional branches of the BNR.
