Banca Mondială laudă politica fiscală a Guvernului Bolojan: „Cea mai ambițioasă din Europa și Asia Centrală”
The World Bank praised Romania's fiscal policy, noting it is implementing the most ambitious fiscal adjustment in the region. The deficit is expected to decrease by nearly two percentage points by 2026, although the economy will contract by 0.5%. However, a recovery is anticipated in 2027-2028. Public investments remain high, funded significantly by European funds. Despite rising borrowing costs, Romania's market perception is improving due to fiscal consolidation efforts. The report highlights vulnerabilities in the automotive sector, which constitutes a large portion of exports. Romania is projected to be the only country in Central Europe to experience an economic decline in 2026, while growth is expected to resume in subsequent years.
