Banca Canadei a lansat noua bancnotă de 20 de dolari cu chipul Regelui Charles al III-lea

Canada has introduced a new $20 banknote featuring King Charles III, marking the first new monarch on Canadian currency in over 70 years. The note was unveiled by the Bank of Canada and features a vertical design with the Vimy Ridge Memorial on the reverse side. This makes Canada the first Commonwealth country, outside of the UK, to include the king on banknotes since his ascension. The design incorporates floral motifs inspired by the king's environmental dedication and was developed with input from an Indigenous advisory council. The new banknote will enter circulation next year, amidst mixed public sentiment regarding the monarchy's role in Canada.
