Azerbaidjanul neagă acuzațiile de implicare în scandalul de spionaj din Germania. „Intenția este de a afecta relațiile dintre Azerbaidjan și Germania”
Azerbaijan has denied allegations that former BND chief August Hanning, arrested for treason, provided classified information to an Azerbaijani agent for money. The Media and Broadcasting Council stated that these claims, first reported by Der Spiegel, are unfounded and part of a disinformation campaign aimed at damaging Azerbaijan-Germany relations. Hanning was detained under suspicion of treason and espionage, marking a significant security scandal in Germany. Prosecutors allege that Hanning received nearly 2,000 classified documents from a former subordinate, Manfred D., for analysis intended for a foreign intelligence officer. The federal prosecutor declined to comment on the Spiegel article, and Hanning has not responded to requests for comments.
