A lawyer from Bucharest Bar has been indicted for tax evasion, allegedly failing to declare over 650,000 lei in income. The estimated damage to the state budget is 122,747 lei. Prosecutors claim the lawyer sought to evade tax obligations from July 2018 to May 2024, with undeclared income from January 2017 to May 2023 totaling 652,838.31 lei. During the investigation, precautionary measures were taken on the lawyer's assets and bank accounts, amounting to the estimated damage. The case has been sent to the Bucharest Court of Appeal for resolution.
