The feasibility study for widening DN3 to four lanes between Pantelimon and Găneasa has been approved, aiming to improve traffic flow at the new A0 highway junction. The project includes a 5 km stretch with two lanes in each direction, a median area, and various safety features. The total investment is estimated at 432.7 million lei, funded by non-reimbursable European funds. Construction is expected to take 24 months, with bids due by October 12, 2026. Local authorities have supported this initiative to enhance connectivity in the Ilfov region.
