The U.S. Ambassador to Bucharest, Darryl Nirenberg, announced the transfer of a C-130 Hercules aircraft to the Romanian Air Force, enhancing NATO's eastern flank and Romania's defense capabilities. This aircraft was provided free of charge through the Excess Defense Articles program. Nirenberg expressed honor in participating in the handover, emphasizing the aircraft's role in solidifying shared commitments. This marks the eighth C-130 aircraft received by Romania under the EDA program since 1996, contributing to the modernization of its air transport fleet.
