Avionul care va opera cel mai lung zbor comercial din lume a decolat. Testul durează 22 de ore fără escală

The Airbus A350-1000 ULR has embarked on a record-breaking non-stop flight from Toulouse to Melbourne, testing its capabilities for long-haul travel. The aircraft is designed for distances up to 17,000 kilometers, with a flight duration of around 22 hours. During the test, engineers simulate commercial flight conditions, using special loads to mimic passenger weight and heated water pipes in seats to replicate body heat. If successful, Qantas will receive its first of 12 ordered aircraft in early 2027 for direct flights between Sydney and London. The A350-1000 ULR can carry 188,000 liters of fuel and has a maximum takeoff weight of 324 tons, allowing for extended routes over oceans.
