This aircraft type was also used by former President Klaus Iohannis, who faced criticism for high travel costs. The rental cost for Dan's flight remains unknown, while Iohannis's previous trips to New York incurred significant expenses, ranging from €280,000 to €510,000. Dan previously used a Bombardier Global 5000 for a prior US visit. Global Jet has provided aircraft for both presidents' international travels.
