Avion de vânătoare al Rusiei lovit în al Doilea Război Mondial, găsit în Ungaria. Ce pilot german l-a doborât • Newsweek România
The wreckage of a Soviet Yak-1B fighter plane from World War II was excavated in Hungary, shot down by German pilot Peter Düttmann in November 1944. The Soviet pilot, Lieutenant Aleksandr Andrianov, managed to escape but was captured. Researcher István Kocsis located the crash site based on eyewitness accounts. The plane was found in pieces, but parts of the engine and landing gear were recovered, along with personal items belonging to the pilot, including a signed book. The identification numbers on the wreckage confirmed the aircraft's identity, and the artifacts will be restored for display at a military history museum.
