Avioanele F-35 ale Poloniei ar putea avea bombe nucleare B61-12 ale SUA în caz de război • Newsweek România

The U.S. is open to Poland joining the nuclear sharing program, allowing Polish F-35s to potentially carry B61-12 nuclear bombs in wartime. This was indicated by William Alberque, a former NATO official. During a visit to Washington, Poland's National Security Bureau chief noted U.S. willingness for Poland's participation. However, Alberque cautioned that nuclear weapons would likely not be stationed in Poland during peacetime. Instead, a more probable scenario involves certifying Polish F-35s for nuclear transport and designating certain bases as operational dispersal bases, activated only in wartime. This certification would require technical adaptations and pilot training, enhancing NATO's overall military capability.
