Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair, predicts significant increases in airfares in Europe by 2027 due to rising fuel costs and reduced airline capacity. He estimates that ticket prices could rise by 10 to 20% next year as a result of airline bankruptcies and mergers. O’Leary warns that the next 12 months may see the largest fare increases in European history, with Ryanair only hedging 15% of its fuel costs at $85 per barrel.
