Avertismentul avocatului Gheorghe Piperea după ce băncile au fost amendate în dosarul ROBOR

Lawyer Gheorghe Piperea warns that those affected by the alleged manipulation of ROBOR by banks may face long delays in receiving compensation. He notes that CEC Bank has already contested the decision of the Competition Council, which imposed fines totaling 3.7 billion lei. The court may grant a suspension of this decision, potentially delaying the case for several years. Piperea emphasizes the importance of consumer intervention to support the Competition Council's position, as many consumers remain unaware of their rights. The fines were imposed on ten banks for anti-competitive practices between 2007 and 2012, but the legal process is still ongoing.
