Average gross earnings in Romania rise 1.5% in July, both in gross and net terms

In July, Romania's average gross monthly earnings reached 9,709 lei, marking a 1.5% increase from June. Average net earnings also rose by the same percentage, driven by bonuses and higher production outputs in various sectors. Significant gains were noted in legal, accounting, and petroleum extraction activities, while declines were observed in sectors like tobacco manufacturing and telecommunications due to previous bonus payments. Public sector earnings saw slight increases in health and administration, but a decrease in education.
