The Infra Expert – Unitip Global consortium has won a tender to rehabilitate the Basarab Bridge in Bucharest for 57 million lei. The project is essential for final reception of the bridge, which has been open for traffic since 2011 but never officially accepted by the city due to past disputes. Urgent repairs and upgrades are needed, including asphalt replacement, safety element updates, and drainage system restoration. The mayor announced the start of works last month, with traffic adjustments in place.
