Following the launch of e-SănătateaMea, around 25,000 identity validation requests via ROeID are pending. The government is increasing the validation team from 40 to 59 employees to address the backlog, which is expected to be resolved within a week. Daily, approximately 10,000 new requests are submitted, putting pressure on the digital identity verification system. The government explains that the delays are due to the rigorous verification process aimed at preventing fraud. In the medium term, the goal is to automate the validation process while maintaining high security standards. Users are advised to update their ROeID app for optimal performance and an alternative enrollment method is being developed.
