Autostrada Unirii A8 prinde viteză. Primii kilometri ar putea fi deschiși circulației în primăvara lui 2027
Construction on the first section of the A8 Unirii Highway, between Târgu Mureș and Miercurea Nirajului, is nearing 70% completion, with the first kilometers expected to open in spring next year. This segment will serve as a southern bypass for Târgu Mureș. State Secretary Horațiu Cosma reported that nearly 90% of the earthworks are done, and half of the 24 kilometers have asphalt laid. Over 800 workers and 700 machines are on site, with significant progress on bridges and wildlife crossings. The next construction authorization will be issued this fall for the section towards Sovata, while work continues on the Joseni-Ditrău segment. The A8 will connect Târgu Mureș to Ungheni, facilitating rapid access to Chișinău in Moldova.
