Autostrada Unirii A8: Primii kilometri vor fi dați în circulație în prima parte a anului viitor. Lucrările au ajuns la aproape 70%

The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Horațiu Cosma, announced that the construction of the A8 highway between Târgu Mureș and Miercurea Nirajului is nearing 70% completion. He stated that the first kilometers of the highway will be open to traffic in early 2027. Cosma highlighted that nearly 90% of the earthworks are finished, and half of the 24 kilometers of the project already have asphalt laid. In spring, drivers will be able to use the section between Târgu Mureș and Acățari, which will serve as a southern bypass for Târgu Mureș. The project aims to connect Moldova with Transylvania and will continue with further construction towards Sovata. Currently, over 800 workers and around 700 machines are on site, with plans for a rapid road link to Chișinău after crossing the Prut River.
