The Iași Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges showcases progress on the Ungheni bridge over the Prut, part of the A8 highway. The bridge, measuring 260 meters, is 55% complete, with metal deck elements being installed on both Romanian and Moldovan sides. This infrastructure will enhance cross-border road connectivity between Romania and Moldova. Construction began in spring 2022, and the project is funded by European sources.
