After 25 years since the initiation of the Transylvania Highway project, the construction of the A3 highway sections in Bihor is nearing completion. If the work continues as planned, drivers may be able to use these sections by December, just in time for Christmas, allowing access to Hungary. The Suplacu de Barcău - Chiribiş section, spanning 26.35 kilometers, is being built by Construcţii Erbaşu and is in its final stages. The contractor expects to finish by the end of November, with a potential opening in December. The Chiribiş - Biharia section is also progressing, with an estimated completion ahead of schedule. Together, these sections will enhance the Transylvania Highway's connectivity and reduce traffic on DN1.
