Autostrada Transilvania: Cel mai complex tronson, cu Tunelul Meseș, intră în etapa decisivă de proiectare

The Poarta Sălajului – Zalău – Nușfalău highway section, including the Meseș Tunnel, is advancing in its design phase with extensive geotechnical investigations underway. The project aims to issue a construction permit by the end of the year. This section, approximately 41 kilometers long, is part of the Transylvania Highway and includes Romania's longest highway tunnel. The total estimated value of the project is around 1.4 billion euros, with significant infrastructure works planned, including viaducts and slope stabilization. The project is expected to enhance connectivity in the region significantly.
