PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu criticized the Ministry of Environment for delays in the environmental approval for the Boița–Cornetu section of the Sibiu–Pitești highway. He stated that only 45% of the work can proceed due to the lack of a revised environmental permit, which has been pending since August 14. Grindeanu accused the ministry's leadership of focusing on inspections rather than addressing infrastructure issues, referencing a recent control at the National Meteorological Administration that uncovered luxury purchases. He emphasized the need for the ministry to prioritize issuing environmental permits and questioned the clarity regarding protected species along the highway route. Grindeanu suggested that USR ministers should resign due to the ongoing delays.
