The physical progress of the Cornetu - Tigveni section of the A1 Sibiu - Pitești highway has reached 18.89%. WeBuild has mobilized 1,200 workers on the longest lot, working on earthworks and structures. The project awaits a revised Environmental Agreement for further construction permits. Key activities include the Poiana tunnel and various bridge structures. The contract for this section is valued at 5.323 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program. The section is part of the challenging mountainous areas of the highway, designed to navigate the Carpathians with complex tunnels and viaducts.
