Autostrada Sibiu–Pitești avansează pe lotul Cornetu–Tigveni: lucrările au ajuns la aproape 20 la sută / video

The construction progress of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway section Cornetu-Tigveni has reached 18.89%. This section, the longest of the highway, spans 37.4 kilometers and includes significant projects like the Poiana Tunnel and Călinești ecoduct. Currently, 1,200 workers and 522 machines are on site, focusing on earthworks and structures. The revised Environmental Agreement is awaited to proceed with other construction permits. The Poiana Tunnel, Romania's first highway tunnel built with a TBM, is nearing assembly, while work on 10 bridges continues. The contract for this section is valued at 5.323 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program, and is considered one of the most challenging mountainous sections of the highway.
