The construction of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, section 4 (Tigveni-Curtea de Argeș), is nearly complete, with a physical progress of 99%. The opening is expected this year, ahead of the contractual deadline. The section spans approximately 54 km of the total 122 km of the highway. The Momaia tunnel is also nearing completion, with safety tests currently underway. A final test of the monitoring systems will occur at the end of September, and speed limits in the tunnel will be set at 80 km/h. The project is funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027, with a contract value of 1.678 billion lei.
