The Bacău Nord Interchange has been opened, allowing full traffic on the 16-kilometer Bacău Bypass, part of the A7 motorway. This development enables drivers to travel entirely on the highway from Bucharest to Bacău Nord using A3 and A7. The last 4 kilometers of the bypass were reopened after temporary closures for construction connections. The complete opening facilitates a continuous highway link between Bucharest and northern Bacău, reducing travel time to under three hours. This is significant for traffic towards Moldova, as A7 is designed to connect southern Romania with eastern cities. Future construction will not require further closures of the bypass, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow.
