Autostradă între România și Grecia prin Bulgaria

Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece are collaborating on a joint candidacy for transport projects in Brussels, aiming to build a highway connecting the region. They plan to submit proposals for the 2026 call under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), focusing on military mobility and regional cohesion. This initiative follows a memorandum signed in December 2025, which outlines cooperation for cross-border transport projects. Key projects include railway studies in Bulgaria and the expansion of the Struma highway towards Greece. The construction of the Ruse-Greece highway is prioritized, with significant funding already allocated. The project is crucial for improving traffic flow between Ruse and central Bulgaria, although some segments face delays due to evaluation issues.
